Wendy Spinks – Director Wendy has 15 years experience in the Travel Retail sector and is an airport operation’s professional. This is a result of having direct and practical experience of working for both specialist retailer, as regional manager for travel stores and as an airport operator, leading the Retail Operations team. Working for BAA Heathrow over the last 10 years, Wendy held high profile operational roles and spent 6 years as Head of Retail Operations. During this time she has overseen the operational development of all space related projects, including the major extensions to Terminal 1 and 3, along with the opening of Terminal 5. In addition, Wendy has developed and delivered customer service and operational strategies, notably creating the award winning ‘Retail Academy’ providing recruitment and training support to 3rd party retailers through government sponsored programs. Working closely with all airport operational functions Wendy has extensive experience of the day-to-day realities of the travel environment as well as having experience in medium to long term strategic planning. One of her many successes has been the creation and implementation of BAA’s logistics strategy.
